The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, in collaboration with the World Bank, engaged Cambridge Resources International (CRI) to design the functional and technical requirements for the development of the Public Investment Projects Management and Monitoring Information System (PIMIS).
As part of this project, CRI conducted an in-depth analytical assessment of the project appraisal processes employed by various stakeholders across Azerbaijan. This assessment covered critical areas such as strategic planning, capital budgeting, project selection, and monitoring.
Building on these insights, CRI translated the intricate technical and procedural aspects into a comprehensive PIMIS Design Document. This document outlines the system’s core objectives, functionalities, architecture, technical specifications, and institutional arrangements necessary for its successful implementation.
To support this initiative, CRI also prepared a detailed PIMIS Implementation Plan, providing a roadmap for the system’s development and deployment. The plan includes timelines, resource requirements, and initial cost estimates, ensuring clarity and alignment among all stakeholders.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in enhancing Azerbaijan’s capacity to manage and monitor public investment projects efficiently, fostering transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment in public investment decisions
